I bought several metal flower wall hangings, each lined with clear silicone sealant on the inside, and hung them just above the air vents in each of my children's rooms. I soak one of these filters in hot water every night before they go to bed and put it in a planter so it looks straight out from above and close the bedroom door. I can't believe how well it works for hydrating rooms! I can't comment on how well they work in the electric humidifier they were designed for, but I highly recommend them to DIY enthusiasts! I'll have to change them every winter, but a) subscription program! and b) I would rather replace the filters than buy new humidifiers when the electric ones stop working. What they do. Nearly every year. :-p So glad I found them!
