Review on 🌬️ LEVOIT LV-H126 Air Purifier Replacement Filter with 1 True HEPA and Activated Carbon Set, Includes 3 Extra Pre-Filters - Genuine LV-H126-RF by Jeffrey Choudhury

Bought an air purifier about a year ago, summer 2020. I use it mainly on ships at sea where I work - a very industrial environment. I also use it for longer stays in hotels. The original pre-filters were great - did a great job cleaning the air and removing odors. Since it was difficult to get replacement filter kits due to the pandemic, I washed the pre-filter first and kept using it. It eliminated odors and, being very dense, kept most of the dust out. The superior original pre-filter extends the life of the HEPA filter. Unfortunately, when the filter sets were back in stock, they cost twice as much. I bought one as mine was due for replacement only to find the new pre-filters were porous and unusable. They do not retain odors or dust. Because of this, the HEPA filter only lasted about 6 weeks compared to over 6 months for the first HEPA filter with the original pre-filter. The support team responded very quickly and sent me a new set of filters free of charge. However, he had the same problem with the quality of the pre-filters. Customer service insisted that the pre-filters were "charcoal to eliminate odors" and had the same degree of filtration as before. This is clearly not true. The HEPA filter is still of the same high quality as the first set. But because the pre-filters are so terrible, I now have to replace the HEPA filter every few months instead of once or twice a year. In addition, these pre-filters do not neutralize odors. I intend to find a carbon foam substitute that I can cut to size to use as a good pre-filter to get those HEPA filters lasting 6-8 months again.
