Review on 🔧 UnderCover SwingCase Truck Bed Storage Box for 2004-2015 Nissan Titan Drivers Side - SC500D by Eric Smithlin

I installed the Passenger Side SwingCase on my 2005 Nissan Frontier CrewCab Shortbed. My Frontier has factory upholstery as well as a factory utilit track system. I did not use the supplied fasteners but used stainless steel rivets and an M6x1.0 thread pitch stainless steel nut and bolts. 4 of the 6 screws go in the taillight housing area, I'm not sure why they don't tell you to be careful with the self tapping screws provided (which can pierce the factory wiring harness there). I removed the taillight, removed the wiring harness from where I had drilled. I drilled a 1/4" hole for the M6 bolts. I used washers and nylon locknuts. Total installation time shouldn't be more than 30 minutes. Of course you can't use the moveable platform extension while SwingCase is installed. I'll give it a 4 out of 5 stars because you can't open the SwingCase cover when the device is secured because the cover is in the way of the utili-track.You can avoid this problem if you have the space, a metal brace from the bed, maybe half an inch. I don't plan on doing this as I have a camper case and it would be difficult to open the lid when the unit is docked. But most Frontier owners don't have a camper cover and I see future disappointment , after they install one (if they have Utili-Track) I don't see the point of spending more than 175€ for it I think it won't cost more than 150 dollars UPDATE: I k bought another one for the drivers side of my truck and ended up buying the passenger side). The installation time was about 30 minutes. This time SwingCase has provided a lock for the SwingCase hinge (to prevent theft). It prevents the SwingCase from detaching from the loop. Not sure if this is a match but the keys match the originals so I only need to carry one key to control both SwingCase devices. I have a camper case so I don't have to worry about the SwingCase or the contents being stolen.
