I purchased these night vision goggles as a resource for hazmat rescuers from my local volunteer fire department. Pros: Sensitivity to daylight and low light is excellent and works well. In complete darkness, the IR illuminator illuminates the view very well, which makes it easy to distinguish between reflective surfaces and objects. In the video example, I noticed a rabbit where I would never have seen it with the naked eye. It is good at detecting anything that reflects IR light, such as B. Cones, ANSI vests, markers and reflectors. even the lowest IR level from these glasses. As a result, in total darkness it is difficult to see the unique UN numbers, but it is easy to notice the sign in total darkness. The focus ring is quite sensitive. The zoom function is digital, so the picture quality decreases significantly when you enlarge it. Bottom Line: This is a great tool for spotting wildlife and viewing your surroundings in total darkness up to 150m (500ft). If you attempt to read or display the details of your target, you are unlikely to be successful at more than 30 m (100 ft) away.
