After washing several times, the ice is still covered with a white film.
I must first say that the company's service was friendly and helpful when I emailed them about this issue and they replaced the item. However, both my original ice trays and the replacement trays produce ice that melts, leaving a white film on the water surface and glass. This is after following the directions of cooking the trays for a few minutes first and then washing them all a few times. I can feel film on dry shells. Aside from looking rough, drinking ice cream covered in a white film of tiny silicon particles looks dangerous. Let's hope only a few bad lots were sold in October, but be careful if you buy them.
