The Micro Plane was the only tool I used to grate the ginger and garlic and it is very difficult to peel. There is a pizza sauce recipe that involves adding grated onions to the pizza sauce. (Children won't make a fuss, and adults won't be able to locate the umami amplification.) Cleaning up that sharp microplane can be a dangerous endeavor. Incorrect/incomplete glazing on this ceramic instrument is a disappointment. The spots missed by the glaze are on the back of the grater. Since I needed to use it immediately, I did not contact the seller. Make sure you check it when you receive it, otherwise you might find yourself in the same situation.
