Review on 🚵 Ergon - SM Comp Ergonomic Comfort Bicycle Saddle for All-Mountain, Trail, Gravel, and Bikepacking Bikes - Men's - Two Sizes - Stealth Black by Blake Pudic

I was an Ergon fan. I have used their grips and have had two SMA3-AM saddles in the past which I have really enjoyed. After a recent minor breakdown on my MTB, my SMA3-AM was getting a little scratchy and I used that as an excuse to get this new version. Big mistake. First, make sure you are your correct size. My previous saddle was medium, so being a tall guy I went with the medium/large version. Big mistake. Too big for me and way bigger than the average sized SMA3-AM. I could also feel the hell stuff pulling out of my shorts. They even clung to moving from side to side a little. I chalked it up as too big for me. Having already installed it, I accepted the loss and ordered another one, this time in a small/medium size. The smaller size fitted well I knew as it was similar in size to my previous Egon SMA3-AM (4mm wider). However, the meshing problem still existed! Although I was able to move much better now that it was the correct size, the microfiber material of this saddle stuck to my pants like glue and really hampered my movement in the saddle. I've even thought about "lubricating" the saddle to make it easier for me to move, but this is just ridiculous. Ergon really made a mistake with the material of the saddle and made it too stubborn. I even reinstalled my old SMA3-AM to see if something else was the problem, and no. Same bike, same shorts and I was able to move freely. Put this new one back on and I'm stuck again. To top it off, this saddle also feels stiffer than the old one. I had painful sensations that would not have happened with the Elder. If you're not a Lycra warrior, stay away. I put the old, scratched saddle back on until I found a suitable replacement. The only reason I gave it two stars is because it at least looks damn good.
