Buy again on Cycling

I mainly ride enduro / all mountain / some cross country. With my old Rocket wtb seat on the same trails my balls went numb as I leaned forward as I walked up the steep hill. It also hurt me on the flat. (Maybe that was because the seat was old and worn). But this OMG fits a lot better and takes away the numbness. It was a bit stiff for my liking for the first couple of about 4 rides, but after this ride it broke completely. inside and hard to describe. Hard but not painful. Will buy this seat…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Comes in a wide width

My third Ergon seat and I find the wide width very comfortable. One is still on my second bike and this one is on my main bike. Overall I think they are of good quality but my previous two seats started cracking after only a month or two (reason for 4 stars). A bit of silicone where the rails rise to the seat pan will cure this, but I'll look into that. Few saddle companies make wide seat widths and I have wide sit bones so all those 110-115mm wide seats just don't work for me.

Pros
  • Very impressive

Check the size on the saddle once you receive it.

Ordered Medium/Large and received Small/Medium. I haven't noticed until today. I have checked my order for a male and yes I am ordering M/L. You sent the wrong one. It arrived quickly last week, it looked and felt good in the hand, but it's not very uncomfortable, probably because it's the wrong size. My butt hurts a lot and I only rode 6 miles yesterday and 7 miles today on a singletrack, which means I sat on it less than 13 miles total. I will try to return it and get the right size…

I have owned Ergon grips for at least 7 years and bought 2 sets. There were issues, so ordering an Ergon saddle was convenient. Started creaking twice a week in October after a little over 1 month of use. At the end of November the creaking was so severe that other drivers near me noticed it. So bad I deleted and came back here to replace Ergon and learned how to install a 1 month return window with Revain. So email over 1 week ago and no reply, not even a receipt. So it remains to find a…

Prostate and Nerve Saddle

No More Numbness! Ergon saddles should be the correct width. The idea is to put your weight on your sit bones and not on your nerves, prostate, or soft tissues. Sometimes my sit bones hurt a little during a long ride, but after I got off the bike the saddle didn't hurt much. Just the right amount of plush, but not so soft that it gets caught in different places. Adjust so the nose is level, resulting in a slightly raised back for your sit bones and exposing the nose to sensitive areas. Measure…

You might want to stay.

I was an Ergon fan. I have used their grips and have had two SMA3-AM saddles in the past which I have really enjoyed. After a recent minor breakdown on my MTB, my SMA3-AM was getting a little scratchy and I used that as an excuse to get this new version. Big mistake. First, make sure you are your correct size. My previous saddle was medium, so being a tall guy I went with the medium/large version. Big mistake. Too big for me and way bigger than the average sized SMA3-AM. I could also feel the…
