Review on Fluval C3 Poly Foam Pad - 3-Pack: Superior Filtration for Perfect Aquarium Conditions by Kimberly Jackson

Have bought these several times for my Fluval C3 filter which I have been using for a year now. Unfortunately, they quickly become clogged; although they can be effective in cleaning; In my opinion those dual density pads will not work with this filter. Within a week of replacement, the maintenance indicator will appear and they will need to be changed again - with a noticeable decrease in flow as the water takes the path of least resistance and then rises to the area where the biosieve is located. The nozzle part of the filter, which is initially fed unfiltered water, also clogs fairly quickly once these seals are clogged, it just speeds up the process of that part of the filter. FYI - once the seal is clogged, you can remove the fine filter part (it can be easily removed) and reuse the coarser part after rinsing in aquarium water and keep using; of course, replacing fine polishing with water for durability.
