Fluval C3 Poly Foam Pad - 3-Pack: Superior Filtration for Perfect Aquarium Conditions Review

These items are not worth the packaging they came in. They don't clean my aquarium. I had to add extra foam as a "buffing pad". Not worth buying again and again. Simply rinse and reuse.

They were very practical for my sun filter. Can be rinsed out quickly and is ready to use. Is worth the money and comes in small bags. Just give them a quick rinse and install the filter of your choice.

They work. You step into my filter. According to Fluval, they need to change a lot. You just throw them out and change them out about every 6 weeks. I have 4 filters so I don't change them that often. I change them for ammonia balls about every two months. The price isn't that bad.

Same Fluval quality as similar Fluval filter media. Bought these for my 406 after realizing that they were priced well below the recommended price for the 406. For the price you could use several of these bags and still pay less than the recommended slightly larger bags. Buy these instead of the larger 20g yellow sachets. Update: Large packs are back from better priced sellers. But these still work fine. I use two per side for a total of 4 per basket. Would recommend anyway.

Does the job, good price, recommended replacement every 4-6 weeks by Fluval. Just a warning, each filter is packed in an individual bag but with a hole in the bags so the activated charcoal will leak out a bit. Mine came with a bottle of Seachem Prime and some other stuff in a big box with no air/bladder filler and the bottle flattened the box with it and everything was covered in carbon. Have bought these several times for my Fluval C3 filter which I have been using for a year now. Unfortunately, they quickly become clogged; although they can be effective in cleaning; In my opinion those dual density pads will not work with this filter. Within a week of replacement, the maintenance indicator will appear and they will need to be changed again - with a noticeable decrease in flow as the water takes the path of least resistance and then rises to the area where the biosieve is…

Because of the nice "More" price I decided to try these instead of my usual purchase of loose charcoal which I then use with carrier stuff. Pockets for the media rack (InTank) in my BioCube. I have read on a website that AquaClear/Fluval activated carbon is among the best on the market and for now I have to say that I agree with those statements.
