The original glides barely moved on the carpet
I recently bought a large table with eight heavy wicker chairs. The chairs came with small and rather pointed tips. The chairs were heavy and used on a typical sisal carpet. The original sliders did not move easily across the carpet. I changed the Shepard airframes to 1.25 inches. This made a huge difference when entering and exiting the table. Now the chairs glide easily and smoothly over the carpet surface. I've only had the gliders for a few months but they work. Well, they have achieved exactly what I was hoping for.
