Review on πŸ“Ά Enhance Wireless Connectivity with Proxicast 4G / LTE Cross-Polarized (MIMO) High-Gain Panel Antenna by James Arellano

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Supports stable poor 4G connection

Originally wanted to return it as my router kept showing 0 bands and I thought there was no improvement (it's a Dlink AC1200 from US Celluar). However, despite the "no ribbons", the connection seems stable, although I can't say that my speed has improved much. My ubiquiti edge router does 3 pings a few times per minute and sees more DSL (Frontier) dropouts than my USCelluar connection. Before connecting external antennas, the router maintained a very poor connection no matter where I placed it in a house with short antennas. I thought about using an amplifier instead, but that's enough as the amplifier requires a significantly larger investment and I only need 4G to work. _this_ is the device at the moment. If I climbed higher on my hill (and without attaching this antenna) and there were fewer trees between the router and the towers, I would get more bars and a significant speed increase (upload would go from mega to 5-6, and download would go from 3-5 go to about 8). In the long run I could take it to the top of the hill and install a solar box and all sorts of other solar and advanced networking goodies, but considering it's my backup of my external 4G DSL antenna, it's" good enough". Work. I'm sharing this information so you can keep an eye on your connection and try to get it as high as possible for the best results. Of course, know where your tower is and point to it.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Dull Hardware
