Review on πŸ”Œ OEM Power Window Lift Motor for Mazda 3, 5, 6, CX-7, CX-9, RX-8 - Replace # GJ6A5958XF, G22C5958XC, D6515958XB by Kevin Gunnmann

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No more rattling, auto raise/lower works again on our 2015 CX-9!

Great deal on this replacement window regulator for our 2015 Mazda CX-9! I bought and installed front motors for driver and passenger. Both of our front windows started making a horrible squeak around the same time (a hard pill for a car that's only 5 years old). As a result, automatic startup/shutdown stopped working for both windows. First I tried taking one of the factory motors apart to find a cheap way out and just replace the removed gear ($10). FAIL. I broke a couple of tabs trying to separate the transmission covers so I decided to just order a whole new motor assembly. The passenger side was weird. I installed the motor assembly but could not program the auto up/down. Whenever the window was raised (closed), it automatically moved halfway down. Tried programming several times with the same result. I ended up doing a battery reset (unplugging the negative cable from the car battery for 2 minutes and then plugging it back in). After that I was able to program the automatic up/down of the passenger window without any problems. Everything went smoothly on the driver's side. Node exchanged, auto up/down reprogrammed, done. (Pull the window all the way down, then raise it all the way up while holding it for 3 seconds). Happy wife happy life! Edit: I wanted to add an extra troubleshooting step I did before ordering these new window motors just in case it can help anyone. I relocated the rear window motor on the driver's side to the front window on the driver's side. Worked great, no more rattling but I couldn't program an auto raise/lower no matter how many times I tried and even after resetting the car battery. It doesn't make sense to me because I assumed the auto raise/lower is a limitation/function of the switch itself and not the motor. It still baffles me, but in the end the new power windows I ordered and installed work great for both front windows.
