Looking at this review I didn't know there was a sleep mode but I think that's why the collars are so many when fully charged lasted days. I have 2 dogs (a super energetic beagle mix and a lazy little mastiff mix). I had trouble whining, jumping, and digging in my lawn/yard. They are both 7 months to 1 year old so I do NOT use the shock function, just vibrate and beep. If I can't use the shock function on myself, I can't use it on them either. They're still great dogs, but they need a "push" to learn their limits. I let them wear the collar for a week while it was on and I still carried the remote with me from time to time so they wouldn't realize the collar was the source of the vibration or they would chew each other off. (They're a perfect match, these two!) They love their collars and have no idea they're for exercise. They did a very good job of not getting into areas I don't want and they did a much better job of not jumping. The dog will think twice before even doing this. I'm so glad I bought this and wish I had done it sooner. My husband even said he was impressed with the design and happy with the results. And I've only had it for a month.
