This item is good for cleaning pet hair around the home. In my black interior car I still had to use the larger commercial vacuum to pick up all the hair but I will be using this vacuum for touch ups. My goal in purchasing it was to save money and time and not look for quarters to upgrade to an automated machine, but this vacuum won't completely get the job done. I will still keep it for touch ups but I didn't want to buy it to "touch up".
