Updated rating: Must use after replacement. The first could not be used. After buying another device, the smell disappeared after 1-2 cycles. Now I use it all the time and it's a staple on my counter, even with limited space. Only 4 stars because the first one missed and caused a lot of extra work on my part. We have seen this often enough that they have had serious problems with the quality of care. Otherwise an excellent product. Previous review: As expected, the whole house smelled like burnt plastic after the first start. The smell hasn't gone away even after 6 times. Hardly tried to cook food. I will try a replacement because I really want to like this product.
