I don't know what some people are talking about here. I installed the print server and was up and running wirelessly in less than an hour (start to finish). I think most people expect this product to do what it wasn't designed to do - it's only used for printing (computer-to-printer communication) -- not for other multi-function tasks (which require printer-to-computer communication). . This is a limitation of current technology, not of this product. The user guide clearly states that this product does not support multi-function jobs that require communication between the printer and a computer (e.g. scanning, etc.). I am using a Sony GRT170 printer. Laptop and MFP Canon MP730. I have a printer and print server at a remote location in my apartment (so I don't have to look for a large, bulky printer). I only use the print server for printing, and to use the printer's other functions (scanning, etc.) I use a USB switch (about $20) and connect the printer directly to the computer.
