Nice product, essentially a sumi ink pen that doesn't need to be sharpened. Offers a wide range of tints for controlled brush and calligraphy and partial etching (depending on the paper) for special effects or minor flaws. Works best when applied in a single coat (trust required!) as multiple coats can bleed or run, although this is minimized on some papers. I've tried it on HP Arches 140lb Watercolor Paper, HP Arches 300lb Watercolor Paper, Stonehenge Art Paper, Canson Mi Tientes Color Art Paper, Strathmore Toned Gray and Strathmore 400 Bristol. Best results have been obtained with Stonehenge paper for fine detail and multiple layers; Arches HP achieved the worst results.
