Dog loves them, great for licky mats. but kind of messy.

10/17/2022: INABA Mega Churu for Dogs, Grain-Free, Lickable, Squeezable Creamy Purée Dog Treat/Topper with Vitamin E, 1.69 Ounces Each Tube, 18 Tubes Total (3 per Pack) (Chicken with Pumpkin Recipe)I have mixed feelings about these squeezable treats. One the one hand, my dog loves them. on the other, it's messy, sticky goo, and if you don't use the whole tube at once you have to deal with the remainder of each tube which has residue all over the opening. There was a lot of dripping when I tried letting my dog lick it directly out of the tube (he's a messy dog!). Plus if you have more than one dog you have to either continue going back and forth or actually hold out 2 tubes at the same time, making it even more messy. This is GREAT for use with a licky mat, though, if you have one of those. Easier to spread than peanut butter, and as previously mentioned my dog loves it.I was initially going to get the tuna one, but was afraid it would smell like fish. The chicken one does smell like chicken puree so I am guessing the tuna one would in fact smell like fish. My dog LOVES fish of course, but I am not a big fan.It may be worth noting that the tuna variety does not have any chicken in it at all -- I know that a lot of non-chicken treats hide chicken ingredients anyway, which would make things difficult if you had a dog who was sensitive to chicken. It's nice to see more limited-ingredient treats like these that don't add chicken to a non-chicken treat. (My dog loves chicken and has no issue with it though, so it's not an issue in my house.)I think these still deserve 4 stars because they seem like quality treats and have ingredients that aren't scary. The listing is clear about the kind of treats these are -- squeezable, and lickable -- so that itself wasn't a huge surprise. I just didn't realize how messy these would end up being, and I hadn't considered how I would store them if I didn't want to use the whole tube at once.I'll still be using these as licky-mat treats though - it's nice to have something to put in it other than peanut butter once in a while!

Pros
  • Coupons on dog food, treats, and supplies
Cons
  • May not be as satisfying as crunchy treats
