I do most of my calculations in my bed as I have complications from spinal cancer and I need something to hold up my laptop so it's easier to reach and the fans aren't blocked for proper cooling . I've used these thin plastic frames with fans for cooling, but their folding legs always fold down when I move. Then I saw it and my prayers were answered. First, this product is powerful, which is good. It's built to last and as solid as a rock! It's obviously a basic device, but for those who need space for a full-size laptop, it's perfect. The base is flat and tall, which eliminates the problem of faulty short legs, as is often the case with others. It stays where it's set and the hinges stay in place no matter where you tilt them. The only thing I could suggest for future adjustments are the holes drilled in the top plate to facilitate ventilation, but there is already enough space for that and this is just my subjective opinion. The look is attractive and modern, so it looks good even if you leave the laptop somewhere else (and it comes in two shades). My 17" HP Envy fits on it with no problems and is probably my best (and last) laptop stand. Well worth the investment.
