I have been using 6 of these for nearly 2 years now and just bought 4 more. I have a 10" Island with marble top, in my kitchen that is used for just about every project. The marble requires special care for protecting. These mats are awesome! I use them all of the time, kneading and working with dough, cutting, chopping, and slicing foods, setting hot pans, cookie sheets etc. on them, potting plants, doing crafts using a glue gun and a wood burning tool etc. They really take a beating and they still look brand new. They wash easy with soap and water and dry instantly using a paper towel. I roll them up and store them in a drawer, they have kept there shape and lay flat, no curling giving a smooth flat surface. I have no stains or blemishes or damage of any kind. They don't slip they stay in place, They really are wonderful! Love this larger size for giving me lots of protected area to do my work. The make nice place mats too. I will be getting more because my husband has stole a couple to use in his workshop to keep things from slipping while he is working on them.
