They are nice and shiny and the spool is really long, strong enough to hang long distances without breaking. It's plastic, connected with (thick) thread, so I wouldn't hang anything heavy on it. Up close you can tell they aren't real anyway, but if you need a lot of shimmer and people aren't judging you for not having real crystal, this is great value.
