Review on Cuisinart CSG 625 Infrared Surface Thermometer by Jorge Maertz

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Inaccurate temperature measurements! :(

I was *SO* *VERY* disappointed with this thermometer and really wish it would work. When it's cold out I've usually had good luck with the Cuisinart and bought it because I trusted the brand. I tried several measurements over the course of a few days The first day it arrived it was pretty cold so I ignored the 5 degree difference to all my other device temps and the 107 degree temp it said that I had (forehead) <shrug> I thought he might have to get used to the temperature at home No, the second and third days weren't much better If there was a way to calibrate it accurately I would keep it, but it's not there so it's being sent back. Unfortunately. It should also be noted that I gave it low marks for 'easy to read' because it generally burns lightly but not much long, which is problematic when recording measured values when barbecuing in the evening (and when there is little light). I have no idea what they mean by "warm" rating.
