We have been using Brita filters for many years. Ever since they first came out, I've been fully prepared to continue using them. Then I saw some reviews of this ZeroWater pitcher and was intrigued. After ordering I decided I would use the solute meter that came with it to check my Brita and everything would be fine. The boy was shocked. First I tested the water as it flows out of the city from the tap. 130-135 ppm dissolved solids. Actually not that bad. Then I tested Brita filtered water: 100 ppm. Hmm, I thought, it's probably because the filter was about to be replaced. So I filled a new filter, ran a jug through the new filter, and then checked the readings again. 112 ppm. OKโฆ. So we have to walk a little more. After 3 days again 100ppm. In the meantime I put a ZeroWater jug inside. Immediately he tested at 0 ppm. Zero... Nothing... well, I was impressed. Same 3 days later: 0 ppm...again. It's been a few weeks and still: 0 ppm. I should have thought ZeroWater would outperform Brita just because they actually include a meter to prove how good they are. It takes some perseverance! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to make sure you and your family are drinking only the purest water.
