About a month after using this gas cap, it would not open (with the key of course). Since it was attached to my car I had to pry it open. I had a gas cap that lasted 10 years on the same car (until the seal wore off). I also have a sticking gas cap on another car that I have owned for 27 years. None of them failed like that. Luckily I discovered this problem near my house so I had access to tools to remove the cover. I could easily be away from home, didn't have access to tools, and couldn't fill up the car...well, I was stuck. Message here: When you buy this gas cap, please have tools in the car so that you can break it when the key doesn't work (e.g. drill, screwdriver, hammer, pliers).
