The Purolator fuel filter appears to be well made. That's half the cost of a Subaru filter. Fits my 2002 Forester with no problems. No changes to make it usable. The fuel line and fuel line routing are almost identical to the original Subaru fuel filter. Perfect fit for the holder. After installation, filled the fuel pump and started the car. I have used many Purolator products in the past and have always been pleased with their performance. I was a little sad when I saw the "Made in China" label on the filter.
