I just needed a basic remote control for my late 90's Zenith Digital TV -x which I would now like to use in my kitchen. Some pretty good reviews convinced me to choose this product. I always try to buy new products. This time I wanted to order a new one, but accidentally bought a used one. My device came with no remote control or user manual and - with some nicks in the product - was wrapped in bubble wrap with no product packaging. When I returned to the internet to complain, I found a description, who confirmed the lack of items; So I can't complain because getting this waste of money is my fault. I can't get it to do anything with my TV and I'm so annoyed that even trying to get it back infuriates me. If I buy the remote separately and it still doesn't work, I can just go to Carrie. Please be careful when shopping. How many stars do I give this purchase? It physically corresponds to the description and turns on. Since I can't judge whether it does what it's supposed to do, two stars should suffice. Update 09/07/2017: So take the risk of ordering the remote control that would come with this device - if it were new - the remote came right away boxed (in an envelope, no box, without manual). Fortunately, the remote works well and shows me that the converter works well too. No need for instructions and no need to sync anything. My box and TV harmonize. Scanning channels was easy. I love how the TV show titles are listed along with each channel before a channel selection is made. I'm happy.
