The bottom line is that it barely fits in my 2002 Subaru Legacy Outback sedan, it doesn't fit snugly in the pipe like a factory donut so let it go Room for the emergence of a leak. I used some exhaust putty. So far it's working with no leakage, but I don't expect long life from it. This is one of those gaskets you'll want to replace right on Subaru.
