I used this to refill Berkey "Black" water filter elements. Berki offers something similar but costs more. The 3/8" ID vinyl hose fits well with the two stainless steel clamps I had on hand, and the 3/8" ID hose works well with the fitting on the Berkey filter. This item appears to be durable. It doesn't look like it's going down any time soon. Note. It may not work as a siphon. The valves are "normally closed". I tried blowing it out and it takes a lot of pressure to open the valves inside.
