You can connect a drive as well as other USB sticks that can be connected to the 4TB SSK USB port. The instructions show you how to set up the device. It is already formatted as NTFS. You can remotely use the device on this PC/Laptop and set up backup folders. I prefer to map the drive by configuring the SAMBA option in the PC software already stored on the device. Just use the included cable, copy it to your computer and follow the installation instructions. Once this is installed you will have access to the SSK as you would any local drive.
