Review on 🎨 Baohong Watercolor Paper Sample Pack - 7x5, 100% Cotton, 140lb/300gsm - 20 Sheets (6xTextured Cold Press, 2xHot Press, 12xRough) by Karla Richter

Baohon watercolor cotton paper packaging sample was not exactly as advertised as there was no variety in the number advertised but still all kinds. The paper was formed well, but not perfectly. (I use Arches for comparison) but given the difference in price it's a good paper. The amount of sizing in the paper was unremarkable, and at 180 pounds, warp remained minimal on medium wet washes. Its ability to withstand abrasion was the only point I noticed a weakness. I sketch with a pencil, then draw and erase the pencil. Some fuzziness was noticed when washing several times. In addition, when the color is raised, it appears soft. All in all it was a good paper ideal for field work and first attempts at painting. Its low cost gives me the freedom to experiment with subservience at the expense of wasting paper. This paper takes ink well. I use M Graham, Renaissance and Mission Gold colors and they all form well. All in all a good paper that I will buy again.
