This is an excellent, durable ruler with inch and centimeter markings; at a great price, will be ordering 3 more for my home. The ruler is an aluminum extrusion, the walls on both measuring edges are approximately 1/32 inch thicker. The two pieces of rubber in the extrusion provide a good grip when you hold them in place, but allow the ruler to slide easily when you position the ruler. If you have a lot of cutting to do, you'll probably need a steel ruler. Aluminum cuts easily. Acceptable for occasional trimming with a single blade razor.
