EDIT: One thing about this ruler that I finally noticed is the lack of an edge-to-edge measurement. There is a 1/4 inch space in front of 0 (I found a ruler to measure my ruler). I know some rulers have an issue where the edges can fray and affect accuracy, but a) it's not a scientific instrument and b) the edges on this thing aren't going anywhere. I like how the shape of this ruler makes it strong and less flexible. While I sometimes need flexibility, this ruler offers a firmer feel when used to hold and cut objects. It works very well as it is designed to lead when cutting. It's shaped like an M, with a rubber pad running along the underside of the bottom two edges of the M to keep it in place on the material being cut.
