Basically I wanted this to balance the audio levels in the videos I make for my YouTube channel (Rich Ries Adventure). I use this in post and it works very well; The MAX hold feature is particularly useful. So true? It seems so, but I don't know and I don't care. My main concern is that it stays accurate within its own parameters, and it certainly is. Soon I will also be using it to optimize soundscreen placement around my video production workspace. I can't afford a recording booth yet, and baffles should help me deal with outside noise. One complaint: the 1/4 x 20 mount is useful for mounting the gauge on a tripod, but I wish the hole was on the back instead of the side. Maybe I'm just using it wrong.
