Second Altec Lansing Speaker Dies

We were very happy with them but none of them lasted more than a year and then mysteriously died out completely. It didn't matter if I left it plugged in, unplugged, etc. I was very happy with the sound, but I can't afford to buy new ones again. Let's try another company now.
