Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Burley Design COHO XC Single Wheel Cargo Bike Trailer - Yellow, One Size (935102) by Ron Patel

uncertain and opaque

I bought it directly from Burley, not Amazon, but Burley doesn't post negative reviews in English. While the construction is really solid and appears to be easily damaged, it is very heavy on its own and feels unstable with any amount of weight added. I'm not new to weightlifting. I often ride with loaded baskets and sometimes move odd shaped loads from above. but with the coho xc, you won't get anywhere near that 70lb limit before this thing fights you, no matter how you pack it. On my last ride with this trailer, it wobbled so much that it threw me off the bike. I ended up with a lot of rashes, eight stitches on my face, a giant goose egg on my cheek, a black eye and had to have an arm splint. Thank God I had a helmet! after this incident i happened to learn that this trailer said a recall of ALL QR axles ever made up to that point! and while I always receive such announcements via email, I have never received any notification of this review from them. I could talk endlessly about Burley's service (it sucks), but more importantly, this product is dangerous and shouldn't be on the market. Too bad, with this dolly there are really good ideas - quick release, side stand, mudguard, which can even have its own set of baskets, shock absorbers, all of which can simply be folded up, but unfortunately there is no . of these things is important if he tries to kill you if you put 10lbs of something in him.

Pros
  • Spring suspension stabilizes the trailer and chassis, reducing structural stresses and providing a smoother ride over rough terrain.
