The oven looks good and feels solid. Both plastic and metal. The plastic parts including the top shelf, doors and support base with legs have a lightly textured finish that contrasts nicely with the metal unit, firebox and heater/fan assembly. The front of the firebox is made of glass. I decided to try an electric range with flames and forced ventilation after being dissatisfied with the oil-filled Delonghi, which had good reviews but took a long time to heat and warm my 13 x 13 office and French doors open to the rest of the house. It took 3 hours to raise the temperature by 3 degrees Fahrenheit. It only took 50 minutes for this Jasper to raise the temperature by 5 degrees Fahrenheit and I immediately felt warm from the fan. Feels cool where DeLonghi burns your hand after maximum heating. The adjustable realistic flame is a really nice feature that you can run with or without heat. I made the mistake of buying a Delonghi style radiator because when you need to heat a room you need air circulation, which was immediately apparent as soon as I switched on the Jasper. Temperatures directly at the fan outlet reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit at low levels and 215 degrees Fahrenheit at high levels, which of course quickly dissipates over long distances.
