I bought this tool because of the double flaring capability. I looked at How To and after a few tries I was able to get usable flares with a 3/16 cupro-nickel brake line. The tool itself will benefit from some alignment pins which I will add before using it again. I had to polish the black reverse flare disc to allow the material to flow better at this step. The grip grooves in the clamp left marks on the pipe that I found unacceptable. I have an old single flare tool that doesn't scratch the tube. I was able to finish repairing my truck's brake line, no leaks so that's good.
