The casting needs to be matched to the LB7 Duramax otherwise it works fine.
Advantages: Works as described and produces electricity as it should. Cons: The body needs to be modified and sanded to fit the LB7 generator. to be cut down on my engine. If I didn't have the right tools to grind it I would be forced to send it back and find another alternator. Once you finally plug it in, it plugs in and works and works fine, the first day of installation. The voltmeter on the dashboard reads about 14.5 volts, before the replacement it was 13.
