Review on Accurate Temperature Control with Maverick Baker's Oven Thermometer by Darryl Wheeler

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Beware of poor probe/clamp design.

Very disappointing. rite I had problems with the clip holding the probe from the start. The design is such that it does not wrap around the probe but sits in a groove in the clip. I replaced it thinking it was the original that was sent to me. no-go it was the same. the probe continues to detach from the clamp. I just threw everything in the trash. I was baking a cake for my old aunt's birthday, and when I opened the door, the probe somehow fell down and bit into the cake, destroying it. (I also really burned my thumb and forefinger from being so angry that I didn't realize what I was doing and grabbed the string.) The other issue is that I really don't think it's that accurate. I bought a very expensive thermometer that gives completely different readings. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
