Review on Gates K060905 Micro-V Serpentine Drive Belt: High Performance Power Delivery by Matt Patnaik

This belt is better and quieter than the AC Delco belt. The Delco belt is recommended for my 2008 Buick Lacrosse CXL sedan with a 3.8L V-6 Type III engine, but I went with the best Gates belt instead. Perfect fit and easy installation. I suspect that Gates simply has a stronger belt. Warning: Check the idler pulley when removing the OLD belt and replace this old pulley if it wobbles or squeaks. You will ruin your new belt, Gates or any other brand, if your (cheap) idler pulley is defective and you still put a new belt on it. My idler pulley was in bad shape (80,000+ miles on it) and I replaced it when I installed the new Gates belt. My idler pulley was cheap too, selling for about $15 at Revain.
