Review on Spectre Performance Air Filter 9831 - Enhancing Air Box Efficiency by Reggie Higdem

General Housing gets 4 stars, filter inside gets 2 stars. This was installed on my CJ7 a little over a year ago and matched the 6.0 LS and snorkel. The case is solidly made, I'm very happy with the preservation. It could be improved by making it more airtight at the mounting point, but this can be fixed with silicone. The air filter inside is junk. I've never used Specter air purifiers, but they don't last very well. Definitely not the right filter for off-road use. I had an incredible time finding a K&N filter to swap out, so I'm changing the entire setup to a much larger housing and a K&N filter.
