Revainrating 5 out of 5

Mixed feelings; and very happy at the end!

Pros: The design is simply beautiful and fun. Disadvantages: the thread does not come off and the task is difficult. It took me 6 hours to separate the entire thread. Here's how I did it: 1. Divide into equal colors. (blue, red, pink, etc.) 2. Look at the color chart in the instructions. See how many shades of a given color. Knowing how many shades you divide a color into is useful because some colors have multiple shades and are very similar to each other. Sunlight helps with difficult.3. The instructions also indicate how many threads there are for each shade. Once you've separated them, you'll find it easy to determine the correct color name for each shade. I cut strips out of a cereal box and make a slash at each end of the strip. This will secure the thread as you wrap it around the strip. As for sewing, I've decided to do it my own way. I feathered as needed to differentiate, but I didn't follow all feathering guidelines. It was too difficult for my taste and patience. So if you can do it with thread sorting but get frustrated with instructions and complicated shading, then I encourage you to choose your own colors and shades just like you would color in a color book.
