First, I've been using camera gear since the days of the Akai reel and recorder in 1975. With 45 years of photography experience I wanted to maintain my credentials. First of all, the device was better equipped than advertised - it had a built-in battery and memory card! The device appeared to be of good quality. Got it as a gift for my bird watcher, so I installed it and took a few test shots before giving it to her. Unfortunately, no photos were taken about half the time I pressed the shutter button. The rest didn't quite match what was seen through the eyepieces.
