Full disclosure: I am not a professional pumpkin carver. I think my Cheshire Cat carving is proof of that. I bought this set because I was tired of the standard "toothpicks" that most grocery stores sell. 8 tools for less than $20 felt like a steal. I was shocked by the quality and sharpness of these tools. I have never attempted to carve my design and I have never worried that the tools would bend or break. The large round tool with jagged edges was perfect for getting the most out of the pumpkin. Collecting these seeds has never been so easy! You slip if your hands get dirty so I would recommend wearing gloves. Overall I think this is a quality product, especially for the price. If you want to try something more unique when carving pumpkins, this is the right purchase for you.
