I bought this as an experiment to replace my Linksys tri-band router (which costs closer to $500 than this router's $89) because of the price for all the Linksys and whimsical looks, it seemed to get in the way of my colored lights reliably illuminating as I re-entered the geofence around my apartment. The equally fancy and expensive Netgear router seemed able to get the job done without fail, although other aspects of this router left me dissatisfied, so after reading the reviews I decided to give this router a try. To my delight, it has done its job flawlessly so far. It offers a fast, reliable internet connection with seemingly less overhead than Linksys or Netgear, and my apartment has never stopped welcoming me home with all the lights on my return from afar. I only gave it four stars because it didn't come with a power adapter; I'm temporarily using the power adapter from a disabled Linksys router pending the arrival of a third-party adapter I ordered from Revain. Although I should probably give it back that fifth star because when I contacted Revain to report the missing power adapter I received a full refund and was not asked to return the router. So I got this router for the price of a universal power adapter. Very beautiful. If anything untoward happens I will report it here, but so far everything is very good and I am very happy with the performance of this router.
