Review on The StudBuddy Magnetic Stud Finder: Locating Studs Made Easy! by Bryan Crayton

Sometimes the cheap option isn't the best option, but this time it is

I can't get over how annoying regular search engines are. Even if you buy one for $30 or $40, its accuracy is so low that unless you spend a hundred or so on one of those things, you're essentially playing. On the other hand you can get this switch just with two magnets and you move it along the wall until it's attached to something and that's where the pin is, obviously you want to move it up and down the wall to find other nails to find improvement. Your idea of where the counter is exactly, but if you do it once or twice you'll have a complete picture of what's behind the drywall. I've used this on the wall and ceiling to find ceiling and wall mount studs and it works flawlessly.
