I have a long haired cat so as you can imagine he scavenges litter everywhere with his fluffy paws, I already had one of these rugs from another brand , so I added a second one and this one was great, it made tracking a bit easier. The bottom line is you have to shake out the mat every time you clean the tray or it fills up with dirt and isn't as effective.
