Review on Malco LP7WC 7-inch Curved Jaw Locking Pliers with Wire Cutter – Enhanced Eagle Grip for Improved Performance by Joshua Carter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Problem solved. Buy Malko.

Absolutely amazing. Shame about the new Irwin models. Comparing a 7" Malco Eagle Grip LP7WC to a 10" Irwin Vice Grips 10WR, Malco showed the difference between successfully completing my project and not completing my project. a hollow steel inner tube onto which an adherent cap was screwed. The lid had vertical grooves machined into the steel for gripping, so there was no problem with either pair of pliers grabbing the lid. allows for a better grip and use of the smaller Malco pliers on the lid. Irwin had to be tightened so much that he deformed the hose and he still couldn't get a good enough grip on the stuck threads. He slipped and continued to bend the pipe. I then swapped them all out so that the Malco was now gripping the fragile inner tube and the Irwin was gripping the easy-to-grip lid. The threads separated on the first attempt without further flexing of the tube. Problem solved. Buy Malco. This huge difference in grip strength is greatly appreciated by those who work with a variety of things, not all of which are, for example, industrial grade automotive steel. The Malco cost me about four times what I paid for the Irwin, but in my case, Malco's grip strength made the difference between getting the job done and not doing it, and to me that's the only difference that matters.
