The best locking pliers

These are without a doubt the best locking pliers you can buy. Fully polished, no backlash, accurate jaw alignment, stepless adjustment screw, large and strong rivets, feels good in hand. The Devitt people have every reason to be proud of them.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I will add later

Superb build quality - Made in the USA

Impressively well built tool. I have several other brands of these pliers and none of them match their build quality. One of the standout features is the ability to adjust the tension with an Allen key after tightening. Premium for production in the USA.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • There are some downsides

Beautiful American Made Locking Pliers

You can feel the quality when you hold this fine tool in your hands. I wasn't expecting an almost mirror-like shine, but it was definitely a surprise upon opening the box. It locks and unlocks easily, all edges are smooth, and nothing feels cheap or incomplete. Support a company that is bringing production back to the USA.

Pros
  • Comfortable to Use
Cons
  • So-so

Beautifully made in America and better than the original

The attention to detail on the new Eagle Grip Pliers is incredible. All others are American made Vice-Grip, and I've redirected other brands (Tekton, Irwin) to weld clamps. No comparison to the original. The new Eagle Grip pliers are better in every way including the fit and finish, grip accuracy, riveting, soldering, the threaded portion on the back of the grip has been vastly improved! And things like punching and edging are better. The mainspring is improved by the conical winding. I didn't…

Striking presence overshadows vintage quality

Another review from a colleague from Petersen in the USA. I just received a 7" Malco Eagle Curved Jaw Grip/Wire Cutters. You know, it's always more fun to discover a new vintage Petersen pair than today's super-soft, misaligned jaws, Irwin's or Milwaukee's disposables (although they have their uses). This urge led me to try Knipex (love their Cobra pliers and wrench) but their locking pliers left a lot to be desired (shocked that they also use soft jaws). These little pliers are so impressive…

Distinctive presence overshadows vintage quality

Problem solved. Buy Malko.

Absolutely amazing. Shame about the new Irwin models. Comparing a 7" Malco Eagle Grip LP7WC to a 10" Irwin Vice Grips 10WR, Malco showed the difference between successfully completing my project and not completing my project. a hollow steel inner tube onto which an adherent cap was screwed. The lid had vertical grooves machined into the steel for gripping, so there was no problem with either pair of pliers grabbing the lid. allows for a better grip and use of the smaller Malco pliers on the…
